The volunteers who run the museum are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable and displays are well organised. Well worth a visit.

Croydon Airport Visitor Centre is open on the first Sunday of the month, every month, throughout the year.

There are additional Open Days for special events at various other times. Doors open at 11.00 and close at 16.00 with last entry at 15.15.

The address is Airport House, Purley Way, Croydon, CR0 0XZ.

Free parking is available on site. The 119 and 289 bus route is right outside.

Attack of the Zeppelins- Walk & Talk along the route of the WWI air raid

Wednesday 28 March, 6.00-8pm

Retrace some of the route of the terrifying bombing raid of 13/14 October 1915 with Ian Walker (Chair HCAT). Find out about the impact of this raid on the people on the ground and the public call for improved air defences, leading to the establishment of Croydon / Beddington Aerodrome. 

Meet at junction of Edridge Road and Coombe Road (CR0 1EJ) to finish at Stretton Rd.

Please come dressed in appropriate shoes and be prepared for all weathers.
